Welcome to the BMW Club of Minnesota's Special Interest Group (SIG) page. Special interest groups are a "club inside of a club" concept where like-minded members can plan events, group rides, campouts, learn about interesting topics, and more! Below is a summary of each of our SIGs and their corresponding contact information.

Backroads SIG

Do you enjoy traveling the road less traveled? Don't mind a bit of gravel dust or mud on your bike? Want to use both the 'G' and the 'S' of your GS? Then the the Backroads SIG just may be for you! The backroads SIG plans gravel and backroad rides and events throughout the summer, allowing us to find unique areas that few riders have been to before.

Rider Skills

Even the best riders in the world can use a skills tune up every once in a while. The Rider Skills SIG promotes training for all levels of riders. We host various training events at skills courses and racetracks throughout the state. Whether you want to learn how to drag a knee on the perfect line, or avoid that Lake Superior-sized pothole on your commute, we are here to better your skills.

Weekday Camping SIG

Need a little low-stress get away in the middle of the week? We focus on avoiding the crowds and enjoy visiting some lesser-known city and county campgrounds in the local area. We generally plan for one night of camping, but you may always extend your stay as long as you want.
